About the position

Candid Studios Photography & Videography is seeking a highly skilled and creative Professional Photographer and Videographer to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. This part-time, contract position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with a leading photography and videography company known for its award-winning services. As a photographer, you will be responsible for capturing and delivering high-quality images that exceed our clients' expectations. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background and a creative eye to produce exceptional photos. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess outstanding communication skills. This is a highly competitive position, as we only work with the best photographers in the region. As a videographer, you will also be responsible for capturing and delivering high-quality video content that meets our clients' needs. Similar to the photography role, we seek someone with technical expertise and creativity to produce exceptional videos. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for videography and excellent communication skills. You will have the freedom to choose which events you want to work on, and our company will handle all marketing, client management, and editing tasks. This allows you to focus solely on your craft and deliver outstanding results for our clients. Candid Studios is rapidly growing, with multiple locations across Colorado and Florida. We average over five events a week and are looking to expand our team of professional photographers and videographers. Responsibilities

• Follow and remember instructions on how to shoot the shots the client/director needs
• Read a shot list and mood board to determine what kind of shots are needed
• Be extremely responsible, motivated, personable, and reliable
• Act as a creative artist who can make recommendations and propose new ideas
• Maintain a high level of professionalism to improve our services
• Be well-organized and prepared for each event

Requirements

• Must have at least 1, 4K 60p DSLR camera
• Must have an additional 1 - 2, 4K DSLR cameras
• Must have tripods and gimbals
• Must have professional handheld recorders and lav microphones for audio recording
• Creative eye for images, extensive knowledge of the depth of field, foreground usage, and camera mechanics
• Extensive knowledge of aperture and lighting mechanics
• Reliable transportation
• At least 3 prior weddings as primary shooter experience is required
• The ability to fill in as a photographer is heavily preferred
• High-Speed Internet with ethernet connection
• Part-107 remote pilot certification is preferred
• Must have at least a 30MP DSLR camera
• Broad understanding of off-camera flash, knowledge of depth of field and foreground usage
• At least 3 prior weddings as primary shooter experience is required
• The ability to fill-in and work as a videographer is heavily preferred
• High-Speed Internet with at least 1Gbps and ethernet connection

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in filming for at least 1 year
• Proficiency with off-camera flash
• Willingness to travel for 50% of the events
