About the position

The Professional Services Consultant at NetApp is a senior-level role focused on providing expert guidance and support for NetApp's StorageGrid and ONTAP environments. This position involves coordinating with both internal teams and customer stakeholders to deliver complex IT infrastructure solutions, ensuring that customer business requirements are effectively translated into technical implementations. The consultant will serve as a technical lead, mentor, and subject matter expert, contributing to project planning, design, and documentation while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with NetApp Account team and customer VPs and staff members.
• Act as an onsite and remote subject matter expert (SME) for NetApp, IT infrastructure, applications, and Cloud services.
• Function as a Technical Lead and mentor on teams deploying large, complex, and strategic projects.
• Understand and translate customer business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide detailed project planning, design, implementation, and final 'As-Built' documentation.
• Design and architect company marketed solution sets and other custom consulting services.
• Follow appropriate escalation guidelines during customer engagements.

Requirements

• 11+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• Expertise in NetApp StorageGrid deployment and administration.
• Direct experience with NetApp ONTAP administration, especially recent versions (9.7+).
• Familiarity with data migration from NetApp to NetApp and knowledge of NetApp head controller upgrades.
• Experience with SAN, NAS, and/or DAS storage.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
