About the position

The Professional Surveyor at Ardurra Group, Inc. is responsible for managing the full life cycle of surveying projects, which includes proposal initiation, execution, control, and closeout. This role requires overseeing all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk management to ensure optimal client service and fiscal responsibility. The Project Manager's primary objective is to build and maintain positive client relationships while achieving or exceeding the estimated profit margin for each project. In this position, the Project Manager will participate in project costing and bid preparation as necessary, write proposals, and negotiate with government agencies. They will review assigned projects post-award to determine work procedures and sequences, develop schedules, budgets, and billing processes. Establishing a contractor-client liaison network is essential to keep all parties informed about project planning, start dates, and progress. The role also involves overseeing field crew work and CAD drafting, ensuring responsibilities are assigned, and tasks are executed according to schedule. The Project Manager will review, sign, seal, and deliver survey products in compliance with state statutes and client expectations, while maintaining a continuing business relationship with major clients. Additionally, they will write project plans, estimate time and costs for project completion, and engage in budget planning.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Professional Land Surveyor license required.
  • Degree with survey-related courses preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience required.
  • Knowledge in all areas of surveying, including boundary, leveling, GPS, topography, scanning, R/W plats and descriptions, including both field and office work.
  • Experience performing survey-related research is desired.
