About the position
The Skilled Trades & Technology Division is seeking faculty to teach the Advanced Industrial Technology (AIT) curriculum. Faculty will be responsible for teaching AIT classes in various modalities, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and more, as directed by the division chair or program director. They will provide information through lectures, labs, and seminars, employing diverse teaching styles and assessment tools to evaluate student progress. Communication with students is essential, including providing feedback and referring them to college services when necessary. Faculty will maintain records of student performance, develop instructional materials, and collaborate with colleagues to uphold curriculum integrity. Additionally, they will assist in student recruitment and retention through effective teaching strategies.
Responsibilities
- Teach Advanced Industrial Technology (AIT) curriculum classes in various modalities.
- Provide information through lectures, laboratory sessions, and seminars.
- Employ a variety of assessment tools and evaluate student work.
- Communicate with students through various channels to provide feedback.
- Maintain records of student progress and performance.
- Develop, prepare, and evaluate instructional materials.
- Write and develop syllabi and course calendars.
- Review and update course outlines and syllabi.
- Collaborate with division chair, program director, and other faculty.
- Assist in recruitment and retention of students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work experience in manufacturing.
- Associate degree and 5 years of work experience in manufacturing.
- Recognized Certification in manufacturing and 5 years of work experience in manufacturing.
