About the position

The Financial Analyst II position at Credit One Bank focuses on managing customer account programs to enhance risk performance and profitability. The role involves conducting in-depth analyses, developing forecasting models, and identifying opportunities to improve program performance while maintaining profitability. The analyst will communicate findings to stakeholders and optimize strategies to increase pre-tax income.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing customer account programs in terms of risk performance and overall profitability.
  • Perform deep dive analysis at the program level and ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance program performance or increase program volume without negatively impacting profitability.
  • Develop and manage delinquency and profitability forecasting models.
  • Analyze program-level historical P&L performance to identify revenue opportunities and risk factors.
  • Communicate trends and findings to team members and management via presentations.
  • Forecast future performance of customer programs using Excel and SAS-based models.
  • Optimize strategies to grow pre-tax income, including testing various fees and credit line increases.
  • Develop ad-hoc historical reports to assist with financial analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 3+ years work experience in Finance, Risk, Analytics, or similar role in a corporate environment.
  • 3+ years advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAS, or SQL.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and developing recommendations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Mathematics.
  • 3+ years advanced use of Microsoft Excel VBA.
  • Consumer Credit Card industry experience.
