About the position

The Program Administrator 1 position at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services involves serving as a liaison between the Office of Legal and Acquisition Services and various partners, providing technical assistance, and performing administrative duties to support the Bureau of State Hearings. The role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to manage inquiries and ensure compliance with federal standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the OLAS, Bureau of State Hearings and the Office of Information Services partners for the Hearing and Appeals Tracking System (HATS X) and the public-facing SHARE portal.
  • Provide technical assistance and training, including creating training materials for stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries from BSH, partner agency staff, and county staff, including provisioning and deprovisioning HATS X and SHARE users.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for program area and perform user acceptance testing and deployment point-of-contact.
  • Perform administrative duties in support of the Bureau, including generating reports.

Requirements

  • Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, management science, or public administration; AND 12 months of training or experience in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial position involving limited research and public contact.
  • OR completion of an undergraduate core program in an academic field commensurate with the program area; AND 12 months of training or experience in a supervisory, administrative, managerial, or staff position involving limited research and public contact.
  • OR 36 months of training or experience in business administration, management science, or public administration.
