About The Position
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country, serving a diverse area of 13 counties and over 7 million people. H-GAC addresses various regional issues, including transportation, senior safety, job connectivity, disaster recovery, and water quality preservation. The organization aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and make the region a great place to live, work, and thrive. H-GAC is seeking an experienced Program Administrator to join the Workforce Solutions team within the Human Services department. This role involves planning and developing new large-scale projects, maintaining and streamlining current programs, and managing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity during emergencies. The Program Administrator will oversee Emergency Management Programs and Policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws while serving as the primary liaison between service providers and internal partners. The position requires project management and leadership experience to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
