About the position

Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals with complex needs in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare Kern Adult Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed acute inpatient facility for adults 18+ experiencing a mental health illness-related emergency. Admission is voluntary or involuntary (5150). The Licensed Administrator manages all aspects of the Program's day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing quality assurance performance improvements. The Administrator collaborates with corporate departments and outside consultants and represents the Program to State/County agencies, community partners, and consumer groups.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Program's day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee quality assurance performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with corporate departments and outside consultants.
  • Represent the Program to State/County agencies, community partners, and consumer groups.
  • Act as culture carrier; create and support program culture and culture initiatives.
  • Manage all strategic planning activities of the Program to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
  • Ensure the program meets or exceeds clinical quality expectations and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain productive work relationships with State and local agency partners.
  • Maintain healthy staffing patterns for all departments, including recruitment and candidate selection.
  • Manage the Program within allocated budgetary parameters and collaborate in the development of the fiscal budget.
  • Provide clinical supervision upon request.

Requirements

  • Masters in Social Services with a state license
  • Four (4) years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting
  • Two (2) years of responsibility for supervision of professional staff, budgeting, program planning, and licensing
