About the position

The Program Aide for Eviction Prevention at Queens Community House (QCH) is a part-time role focused on supporting immigrant families in accessing essential services. The position involves assisting with various program activities, data management, and outreach efforts to ensure participants can benefit from the Comprehensive Services for Immigrant Families program. The role is integral to helping individuals and families build self-sufficiency and enrich their lives within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recording and monitoring of activity attendance records.
  • Assist and coordinate with planning, implementing, and facilitating program activities.
  • Assist participants with accessing various activities, including remote workshops.
  • Assist with the Monthly Calendar of Events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
  • Participate in outreach activities.
  • Create and maintain consistent communication, both verbal and written, with supervisor and staff.
  • Conduct pre-screening intake process.
  • Collect basic enrollment information and documentation.
  • Assist workers with follow-up of cases and closings.
  • Enter information into multiple data capturing systems.
  • Assist with Data Management.
  • Promote workshops and create flyers.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Department.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both languages.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED, and currently enrolled in an institution of higher education.
  • One year of office administration work experience required.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, Share Point, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams/Zoom, and Google Docs.
  • Strong data entry and typing skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, data management systems, and presentation software.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work remotely with necessary privacy and dedicated internet access.
  • Experience working in settings providing direct service in mobilizing, directing, and motivating participants.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer-service orientation.
