About the position

This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Anniston Munitions Center. This position serves as a Program Analyst, applying Resource Management (RM) principles and practices to perform a wide variety of complex financial management and accounting system functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program management with higher level assistance for operating aspects and workload continuance.
  • Monitor program cost and compare to completions versus cost ratios.
  • Compare actual cost versus authorized costs and compiles and summarizes budget data for inclusion in program reports.
  • Monitor reports for production accomplishments and scheduling issues with higher level assistance.
  • Recommend corrective action and furnishes technical assistance and instructions for correction for program related issues.
  • Perform year-end closeout and carryover activity, and requests additional funding as required.
  • Provide staff accounting advisory services and technical assistance to elements involved in the accounting functions.
  • Process last minute requests for expenditures, receipts and Military Inter-departmental Purchase Request (MIPR).
  • Review and analyze proposed operating budget to ensure that it conforms to higher headquarters guidance, policies, and mission priorities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully meet and maintain the requirements of the Physical Security of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives IAW AR 190-11.
  • This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations.
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET CLEARANCE.

  • Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
