About the position

The Program Analyst position at the Department of Veterans Affairs focuses on providing administrative support to enhance telehealth services for Veterans. The role involves collecting and analyzing data, coordinating telehealth initiatives, and ensuring compliance with established policies and metrics. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to improve service delivery and clinical outcomes through effective data management and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze workload data, performance improvement data, and assessment data using various national, VISN, and local databases.
  • Collaborate with the GPM and clinical service lines to analyze telehealth and access data to identify areas of need and potential telehealth expansion.
  • Coordinate and analyze national, VISN, and local data collection for the telehealth service line.
  • Analyze financial and workflow impacts of proposed policies/programs and make recommendations.
  • Track and analyze Telehealth program performance data to identify impacts on clinical outcomes and overall telehealth utilization.
  • Develop workflow charts, graphs, and internal mechanisms to show trending data, workflow efficiency, and program development.
  • Serve as the point of contact for telehealth equipment vendors regarding equipment ordering, technical issues, and training.
  • Attend national and VISN technology meetings to stay informed about deadlines and equipment updates.
  • Prepare recruitment documents for open Telehealth positions and manage employee folders.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with telehealth targets, measures, metrics, and policies.
  • Track, create, and update Telehealth Service Agreements as per policy.
  • Transcribe minutes for all Telehealth program meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Ability to serve a probationary period.
  • Subject to background/security investigation.
  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with data analysis of telehealth data sites such as Power BI, VSSC, and Virtual Care Scorecard.
  • Experience auditing for quality.
