About the position

The Program Analyst position at the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, involves providing expertise in planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of the multi-year budget. Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze established policies, procedures, and program guidance related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Develop and recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain management information reporting systems, including database development and spreadsheet design.
  • Present findings, options, and recommendations through briefings and reports.
  • Participate in the development of documentation to support resource requests.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector.
  • Experience in formulating issue papers, briefings, and reports for senior management.
  • Conducting management briefings on qualitative and quantitative analyses for program effectiveness.
  • Evaluating planning and management practices and administrative processes.
