About the position

NIRA, Inc., a rapidly expanding women-owned business headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Program Analyst to join our team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role combines analytical responsibilities with critical program support tasks, providing a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in a dynamic and technology-oriented environment. In this role, you will assist with critical data analysis and reporting tasks in addition to taking responsibility for ongoing administrative processes in support of various teams within the customer environment and the broader company. Applicants must be willing and able to work in person 2-3 days per week at either the customer site or NIRA HQ (both in Washington, DC).

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from various sources, analyze trends, and compile findings
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on data analysis results to senior analysts and client/company management
  • Market Research: Collect data on industry trends, conduct competitor analyses, and summarize findings in terms of potential market opportunities
  • Data Management: Maintain and update databases and ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Support Senior Analysts: Assist senior analysts with more complex analyses and projects as required
  • Office Management: Handle office administrative tasks as assigned, including scheduling meetings, managing team calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and documents
  • Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external team communications
  • Logistics Support: Assist in organizing events, meetings, and conferences
  • General Administrative Support: Provide ad hoc support to various departments as needed

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States; eligible and willing to obtain a Public Trust clearance as necessary
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, journalism, another technical field (math/science/engineering), or a related subject from an accredited college or university
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in business operations, management consulting, technical writing/editing, or business advisory services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced proficiency with one or more data collection and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasking and manage to deadlines effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
