About the position

The Program and Budget Consultant at Kearney & Company will play a crucial role in supporting the Pentagon team by developing and managing budget-related materials for the President's Budget rollout. This position requires a strong background in program and budget processes within the Department of Defense (DoD) and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery of high-quality written products.

Responsibilities

• Support program and budget development for the President's Budget rollout materials including Defense Overview Book, Weapons Book, Black Book Papers, and budget roll-out slides.
• Create and update meeting schedules, print read-ahead slides, and prepare books for OUSD and Program and Budget Leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Military Department Headquarters PPBE experience with a concentration on Program and Budget.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
• Willingness to work onsite at the Pentagon daily, 5 days a week.
• Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts.
• Extensive experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements.
• Outstanding writing skills and ability to deliver quality written products in constrained time periods.
• Outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoD.
• Experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers on various ad hoc requests.

• Minimum active secret clearance.
