About the position

The Program and Operations Manager at the Foster School of Business is responsible for overseeing outreach programs, federally-funded grant initiatives, and the operations of the Global Business Center. This role involves managing budgets, assessing program effectiveness, and supporting international scholars, all while ensuring compliance with federal grant obligations. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outreach programs to business community and/or higher education audiences focused on federal grant themes of supply chain and sustainability, assessing effectiveness and tracking data.
  • Manage federally-funded grant programs supporting global business research and teaching, including assessment and reporting on program impact.
  • Evaluate the Global Business Center's progress toward goals aligned with federal grant funding, managing data collection and reporting.
  • Oversee the Center's budget and operations, including event management, office management, and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the enrollment and support of Visiting Scholars from international research institutions, ensuring access to resources and cultural integration.
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and support for student assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in program/project management in a business or non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
