About the position

The Program and Operations Manager at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business is responsible for overseeing various outreach and federally-funded grant programs aimed at enhancing global business research and education. This role involves managing the Global Business Center's operations, including budget management, event coordination, and support for visiting scholars. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively assess program impacts and fulfill federal grant obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outreach programs to business community and/or higher education audiences focused on federal grant themes of supply chain and sustainability, assessing effectiveness and tracking data.
  • Manage federally-funded grant programs supporting global business research and teaching, including Global Faculty/PhD fellows and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
  • Evaluate the Global Business Center's progress toward goals aligned with federal grant funding, managing data collection and reporting.
  • Oversee the Center's budget and operations, including event management and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage enrollment and support for Visiting Scholars from international research institutions, ensuring access to resources and cultural integration.
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and support for student assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in program/project management in a business or non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
