About the position

The Program Budget and Finance Analyst at MITRE will play a crucial role in supporting the Intelligence Community by providing informed advice on budget formulation and execution. This position involves collaborating with senior intelligence officials to develop and justify budget proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and mission requirements. The analyst will conduct comprehensive financial analysis and resource allocation, serving as a strategic partner to government leaders in a multi-agency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior intelligence officials to develop and justify budget proposals.
  • Propose and evaluate the allocation of resources between competing demands.
  • Conduct comprehensive budget and resource analysis, delivering unbiased recommendations.
  • Serve as an objective and informed partner for government leaders.
  • Work as part of a MITRE team in a multi-agency environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Advanced finance, accounting, Excel, and Tableau modeling skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree or special certifications in Finance, Accounting, Program Management.
  • 8-10 years of accounting and finance experience.
  • 2 plus years of experience with government budget systems and processes.
  • Experience providing budget and acquisition support to the Intelligence Community.
  • Experience with the Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB), the National Intelligence Programs (NIP), or Military Intelligence Programs (MIP).
  • Experience conducting research on data using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading and managing tasks/projects.
