About the position

The Program Chief Engineer (PCE) at Raytheon Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) is responsible for the engineering cost, schedule, and technical execution of programs within the Emerging Programs (EP) product line. This role involves leading a team through the hardware development and production lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and schedules. The PCE serves as the primary engineering leadership contact, overseeing all technical, schedule, and financial aspects of the program, and directly managing lead engineers to optimize system design and production efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single engineering leadership point of contact for the program.
  • Establish and manage a program vision, strategy, and goals to align with customer expectations.
  • Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and disciplines.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts.
  • Manage all program engineering activities and direct lead engineers to optimize system design.
  • Lead engagement with senior customers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure compliance with requirements and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in airborne and electronic warfare systems design, integration, and testing.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
  • Experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, Program Chief Engineer, or Integrated Product Team Lead.
  • Experience as Technical Lead on proposals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in STEM (M.S. in Math, Physics, or Engineering preferred).
  • Factory establishment and production experience.
  • Design experience with Electronic Support (ES), Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), and Electronic Attack (EA) systems.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple facilities and locations.
  • Results-oriented work ethic with effective communication skills.
