About the position

The Program Control Analyst or Principal Program Control Analyst position at Northrop Grumman involves supporting the Launch & Missile Defense Systems - Propulsion Systems Programs. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining cost control systems, monitoring project schedules, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. Analysts will engage in financial analysis, budget preparation, and reporting to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles and variance analysis
  • Preparing program plans to capture and schedule program requirements and statements of work
  • Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparing expenditure projections
  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and quarterly EACs
  • Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years professional work experience - OR - Master's Degree and 0+ years professional work experience (for Level 2)
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years professional work experience - OR - Master's Degree and 3+ years professional work experience (for Level 3)
  • Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Financial or accounting experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP, Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Oracle Primavera
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience
  • Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
