About the position

The Program Coordinator (PC) at Partners for Rural Impact (PRI) is a full-time, grant-funded role focused on managing projects and ensuring the success of rural students. The PC will develop systems for project management, maintain records, and oversee program activities, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of PRI Appalachia. This position is essential for coordinating various educational initiatives and supporting grant development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor project timelines, due dates, and milestones for events.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative support, including correspondence and travel arrangements.
  • Manage communications with internal and external partners via various channels.
  • Coordinate and administer strategy applications and database services.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics for training programs and special events.
  • Manage technology needs for virtual and in-person learning engagements.
  • Support grant development activities, including researching grant programs and preparing submission documents.
  • Develop community and organizational profiles for partners using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Oversee and maintain weekly schedules of staff and coordinate engagement dates with partners.
  • Prepare for meetings and provide onsite support activities.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure expenditures are allowable and within scope.
  • Review purchase card reports and collaborate with the Finance department on expenses.
  • Prepare and track necessary contracts and agreements.
  • Serve on Partners for Rural Impact committees as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or five to seven years of related experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience in project management from initiation to completion.
  • Administrative experience within a professional office setting.
  • Experience working with data collection, meeting planning, event planning, and budgetary monitoring.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and ability to support multiple technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of general business operations, human resources, or grants management.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect private files and correspondence.
  • Experience in event planning and implementation.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with federal college access grant programs.
  • Knowledge of community engagement strategies.
