About the position

The Program Coordinator for the Office of Housing at Boston University plays a crucial role in supporting the Assistant Director of Housing/Fiscal in maintaining accurate records of departmental expenses. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the housing office. The coordinator will be responsible for processing purchase orders, paying invoices, and reviewing telephone expense logs to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the coordinator will prepare purchase requisitions, verify price quotes, and contact vendors to confirm the delivery of items and order necessary office supplies. In this role, the Program Coordinator will also maintain organized filing systems and distribute reports as needed. General office duties will be part of the daily responsibilities, ensuring that the office runs efficiently. The coordinator will assist the Terrier Card Office staff by working at the service counter, providing support to students with inquiries about dining plans and Terrier Cards. This includes processing dining plan changes and participating in orientation sessions to help new students understand their options. Furthermore, the coordinator will update the database of convenience Points purchases and manage related worksheets that are used in budget submissions and quarterly confirmation processes.

Requirements
