About the position

The Program Coordinator (PC) at One Million Degrees (OMD) plays a crucial role in supporting community college students in their academic and career journeys. The PC is responsible for managing a caseload of up to 75 students, ensuring their persistence and successful completion of their college programs. This position involves engaging with students, collaborating with campus partners, analyzing data to track student progress, and facilitating development sessions. The PC will work closely with diverse student populations and contribute to OMD's mission of promoting economic mobility through education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement OMD's high-touch Scholar support model to ensure academic, personal, and professional goals are met.
  • Build rapport with Scholars and hold them accountable to OMD program expectations.
  • Promote scholar registration and attendance at relevant OMD and partner college programming.
  • Build relationships with campus partners and leverage support networks for Scholars.
  • Maintain awareness of college and community resources to connect Scholars to appropriate services.
  • Use Salesforce to maintain accurate data on Scholar interactions and program participation.
  • Plan and execute monthly Scholar development sessions and other events in collaboration with OMD staff.
  • Represent OMD at schools and community organizations to support recruitment efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of work experience in education or human services.
  • Experience managing a caseload or direct accountability for group outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with non-traditional student populations.
  • Service fellowship experience such as AmeriCorps.
