About the position

The Program Coordinator for the Community Engagement Exchange Program at IREX will support emerging community leaders from around the world in their professional development through a three-month immersive civil society exchange in the United States. This role involves coordinating Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) efforts, managing candidate selection, and providing mentorship to fellows, ensuring that the program meets its goals and promotes data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) efforts for a portfolio of fellows.
  • Manage candidate selection for the fellowship program.
  • Develop impact stories, graphics, and project outreach materials.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of robust MEL frameworks.
  • Coordinate data collection tools to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Serve as a program advisor to fellows during their practicum experience.
  • Prepare reports summarizing evaluation findings and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Organize and maintain documentation of evaluation processes and reports.
  • Plan and coordinate events related to the fellowship program.
  • Maintain and edit website content and design.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for review committee and fellows.
  • Support senior staff in researching and developing proposals.
  • Represent specific programs in external meetings and events.
  • Assist with development and monitoring of program budgets.
  • Manage payment requests and financial transactions for fellows and vendors.
  • Coach and mentor fellows, maintaining their records and financial tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international studies, international relations, social science, political science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in youth leadership, international education, or professional development programs.
  • Experience in coaching or advising young professionals.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets using Excel and PowerBI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an international context and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with learning management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Alchemar, Canvas, Submittable, or similar tools.
  • Interest in developing capacity for project systems.
