About the position

The University of Cincinnati, a prestigious institution founded in 1819, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the College of Medicine's Center for Continuous Professional Development/Continuing Medical Education (CCPD/CME). This role is pivotal in supporting the university's mission to excel in education and healthcare training. The Program Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Associate Dean and other staff to plan, design, evaluate, modify, and coordinate both internal and external Continuing Medical Education (CME) programming. This position is essential for ensuring that the CME activities meet accreditation standards and effectively serve the educational needs of healthcare professionals. In this role, the Program Coordinator will oversee the design and execution of various educational programs, including seminars, workshops, and classes. They will be responsible for developing program objectives, monitoring progress through quantitative and qualitative data, and identifying areas for improvement. The coordinator will also provide financial administrative support, develop and analyze assessment questionnaires, and compile statistics for reporting purposes. Marketing strategies to recruit participants will also be a key responsibility, along with interaction with faculty, staff, and external agencies to foster collaboration and enhance program offerings. The Program Coordinator may also conduct research to inform grant proposals and program development, and may supervise staff, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently, both in-person and remotely, within an office environment that does not present unusual physical demands.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and advise on the design/creation and conduct of seminars, classes, workshops or programs.
  • Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives.
  • Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
  • Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.
  • Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires.
  • Compile statistics and prepare reports.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.
  • Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
  • Conduct research and analyze relevant literature to develop grant proposals and new program ideas.
  • Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • One (1) year of program coordination experience.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
