The Program Coordinator for the M.S. in Health and the Public Interest and M.S. in Addiction Policy and Practice Programs at Georgetown University's Graduate School of Arts & Sciences plays a crucial role in fostering and maintaining the learning communities of these programs. This position is integral to the recruitment of applicants, support of current students, and the provision of faculty and administrative support. The Program Coordinator operates within a matrix structure, reporting to both the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs and the faculty program directors of the assigned academic program. This role is part of a collaborative team of Program Coordinators who collectively address the needs of 13 Interdisciplinary Studies Programs while managing specific program caseloads. The responsibilities of the Program Coordinator encompass a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students and faculty alike. This includes outreach to prospective audiences, providing recruitment and admissions support to prospects and applicants, and offering academic affairs and student services to enrolled students. Additionally, the Program Coordinator is accountable for general financial and human resources tasks, demonstrating a commitment to creating an equitable and diverse community, and supporting faculty and general administrative operations for the program. The day-to-day management of the programs is a key responsibility, ensuring that they run smoothly and successfully. The Program Coordinator will engage in various work interactions, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs while collaborating closely with faculty program directors. This role requires effective communication and coordination with a diverse array of stakeholders, including prospective students, current students, alumni, vendors, industry connections, and other Georgetown University offices such as Graduate Admissions and the University Registrar. The Program Coordinator is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all communications and file management tasks.
