About the position

The Program Coordinator I (Diversity & Equity) position at Foothill-De Anza Community College District is responsible for providing administrative support to the Offices of Equity & Inclusion and Marketing & Outreach. This role involves budget management, event coordination, and ensuring compliance with various regulations while fostering an inclusive environment for diverse stakeholders. The position requires on-site work and is integral to the development and execution of programs that promote equity and inclusion within the college community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative office support including reconciling paperwork, routing documents for approval, and managing administrative calendars.
  • Monitor monthly and annual budget expenses, develop revenue and expense projections, and assist with end-of-year financial closing tasks.
  • Organize and coordinate various events to create a welcoming space for attendees, including enrollment and retention events and professional development activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between program participants, administrators, faculty, and students, addressing questions and resolving issues.
  • Research, analyze, and report data to local, state, and federal agencies regarding program activities.
  • Design and create program materials, reports, and correspondence as needed.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of responsible experience providing complex program support and coordination of program services.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and District policies relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
