About the position

The position involves facilitating and overseeing MassCor (Correctional Industries) needs through analysis of inventory control and production capacity. The role requires continuous monitoring for process improvement, determining inventory controls through regular cycle counts, and conducting at least one full physical inventory count annually. The individual will perform onsite inspections of inventory control processes across all Industries operations and evaluate inventory reports to manage raw material waste and obsolescence. Additionally, the position includes coordinating manufacturing activities for ACA reporting and re-accreditation, responding to inquiries from customers, staff, and vendors, and providing material support for all aspects of MassCor Total Business Solution. Training staff in accordance with DOC regulations and assisting with training Incarcerated Individuals in the MassCor TBS operating system are also key responsibilities. Travel to all Industries locations may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and oversee MassCor needs through inventory control analysis.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly cycle counts and at least one full physical inventory count annually.
  • Perform continuous onsite inspections of inventory control processes.
  • Evaluate inventory reports to control raw material waste and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate and monitor manufacturing activities for ACA reporting and re-accreditation.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, staff, and vendors for project support.
  • Provide material support for MassCor Total Business Solution.
  • Interface with staff and vendors to determine inventory tracking requirements and production capacity.
  • Provide training in accordance with 103 DOC 216 and support to MassCor staff.
  • Work with MassCor management to improve processes through data analysis.
  • Assist with training Incarcerated Individuals as requested.
  • Travel to all Industries locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional experience in business administration, management, or public administration with duties involving program management, administration, coordination, planning, or analysis.
  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in business administration, business management, or public administration may substitute for the required experience.
  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in a major other than business administration, management, or public administration may substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
