The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Dean/Director of Community Standards & Student Development to manage various aspects of student conduct, including case management, intake processes, and scheduling hearings. This role also involves direct communication with students regarding their conduct cases and managing sanctions effectively. In addition to student conduct responsibilities, the Program Coordinator will oversee educational programming and special event planning, which includes tracking program attendance and assessing the effectiveness of these initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to assist with various special projects that may arise throughout the academic year, adapting to the changing needs of the department and the student body. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating and facilitating programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices and social responsibility among students, contributing to a vibrant campus community. This full-time position requires a fully on-site work arrangement, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement with students and staff. The Program Coordinator will be expected to work collaboratively with various stakeholders within the university to enhance the overall student experience and ensure that the office's objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support all student conduct functions including case management, intake, preliminary investigations, scheduling hearings and appeals, and sanction management.
  • Provide oversight of educational programming and special event planning, including data tracking for program attendance and assessment.
  • Assist with administrative and programmatic support functions for special projects as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate and up-to-date student record notations and direct communication with students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function.
  • Strong communication skills and computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of college student development theories and practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in college student development, higher education leadership, sociology, psychology, social work, human relations, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
