About the position

The Program Coordinator at the University of Texas at Dallas is responsible for supporting the Undergraduate Programs office, particularly focusing on academic operations related to study abroad initiatives. This role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, and students while ensuring smooth daily operations. The coordinator will engage in student recruiting, advising, and program promotion, contributing to a positive student experience and adherence to university policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Undergraduate Programs office in all aspects of academic operations related to student activities.
  • Participate in outbound and inbound student recruiting and advising for affiliate and exchange programs.
  • Guide students and uphold policy for all JSOM Abroad activities, including incoming and outgoing exchange students.
  • Serve as a point of contact for JSOM students, academic advising, and partner universities/program providers.
  • Develop and facilitate advising sessions, training sessions, workshops, and assessment tools for program participants.
  • Promote JSOM Abroad programs through information sessions, tabling events, and workshops.
  • Develop and maintain program brochures, print materials, and application documents for JSOM Abroad and other Undergraduate programs.
  • Ensure outstanding student experience and satisfaction while following academic policies.
  • Develop and maintain FAQs and QAs for student inquiries.
  • Participate in events and represent the department as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties specified, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in academic advising or student services.
  • Familiarity with study abroad programs.
