About the position

The Program Coordinator for Comunilife's Life is Precious program is responsible for overseeing the operations of a non-clinical suicide prevention afterschool program aimed at Latina teens aged 12-17. This role involves management, planning, program development, implementation, monitoring, and budgeting, ensuring that participants receive necessary mental health services and that staff are well-supported and trained.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall operations of the Life is Precious Program.
  • Manage planning, program development, implementation, monitoring, and budgeting.
  • Perform evaluations and maintain Comunilife policies and procedures.
  • Conduct quality assurance and utilization review activities.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Vice President of Programs for quality assessments prior to referrals.
  • Supervise program staff and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Ensure program activities and scheduling are implemented effectively by Case Managers and Creative Art Therapist consultants.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate programs for young adults.
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of program staff through reporting systems.
  • Ensure all program participants receive mental health services.
  • Provide staff support through workshops on grief management and professional focus.
  • Educate staff on multicultural, clinical, and relevant issues.
  • Triage referrals and monitor the quality of clinical services.
  • Track outcome studies and monitor patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations.
  • Supervise recruitment efforts and staff performance evaluations.
  • Meet regularly with the Vice President of Programs to discuss accomplishments and administrative matters.
  • Represent the program at community providers relevant to the program focus and populations.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise program and family-oriented activities.
  • Manage volunteers and document community activities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology is required; LCAT preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical supervisory and administrative experience.
  • Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
