About the position

The Program Coordinator for the Master of Marketing at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is responsible for coordinating academic student services and admission processes for graduate programs within the Executive Education Department. This administrative role requires extensive knowledge of university admission requirements and involves guiding prospective students, supporting the application process, and advising current students. The coordinator will work closely with faculty and staff to enhance student engagement and retention, ensuring a high level of customer service and support for students' educational aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective students on different programs offered at FAU.
  • Support the application process by monitoring applications and inquiries within the CRM platform.
  • Coordinate recruiting and facilitate large group presentations for prospective students.
  • Manage the admission processes including student applications and official transcripts.
  • Advise students on their academic programs and facilitate registration and graduation certification.
  • Process course registrations for Executive Education graduate program students.
  • Resolve problems as they arise and recommend solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between professors and students in atypical situations.
  • Work with various departments to finalize prospective students' paperwork.
  • Facilitate students' non-academic requests or needs.
  • Correspond with students using strong communication skills and customer service.
  • Strategize and implement student retention initiatives.
  • Enhance students' experience through coaching and advising.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree and two years of appropriate experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, VIP, Banner, RecTrac, Fusion, CRM system, and Adobe.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 2 years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree and 4 years of appropriate experience.
  • Experience working with students and/or adults in an educational environment.
  • University experience and knowledge.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with presenting to large groups.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
