About the position

The Program Coordinator (PC) is responsible for overseeing the care and support provided within a residential setting for clients with developmental disabilities and other needs. This role includes ensuring the daily well-being and safety of clients, training staff, and implementing care plans while assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs). The PC also collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to monitor and report on client progress and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, including ADLs and mental health supports.
  • Implement and monitor program goals and data collection by the house team.
  • Complete quarterly progress reports for clients and ensure they are sent out.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) client meetings and liaise with day programs, guardians, and case managers.
  • Train new employees and assist team members in understanding client care plans and activities of daily living.
  • Oversee household communications and maintain client and house binders according to MORA expectations and licensing standards.
  • Ensure fire and weather drills are completed according to licensing requirements.
  • Manage household financials, including monthly audits and oversight of client accounts and house bills.
  • Administer medications following guidelines and complete all mandatory training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the Human Services field (e.g., Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, Counseling, or Psychology).
  • Experience in leadership and working with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance if using own vehicle for company business.
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration class.

  • Interest in working with persons with developmental disabilities in a healthcare oversight capacity.
  • Leadership experience or training in disability services.
