About the position

The Program Coordinator for Residential Treatment Services is responsible for providing operational and leadership support to the Program Manager, ensuring effective site operations. This role focuses on supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff in best practices and behavioral management techniques, while also engaging directly with clients to support their treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and leadership support to the Program Manager.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor staff in best practices and behavioral management techniques.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive training to all new employees in the program.
  • Serve as a mentor for all staff members by exhibiting best practices.
  • Observe interactions between staff and clientele for coaching purposes.
  • Oversee daily schedules and ensure staff adherence to them.
  • Initiate and implement scheduling changes as needed.
  • Coach staff members and provide regular feedback on improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate with the Program Manager regarding concerns and progress.
  • Assist the Program Manager with scheduling, interviewing, and problem resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings to review case progress and provide programming solutions.
  • Know the population and individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide consistent reinforcement to client behavior using daily issues to teach adaptive behaviors.
  • Utilize proactive methods to intercept problems before they escalate.
  • Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in a mental health setting.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Capacity to react and de-escalate issues in a calm manner.
  • Demonstrate reliable and consistent actions and behaviors.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and develop trust-based relationships.
  • Ability to express passion and commitment to the program.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field.
