The Program Coordinator (RN) for Inpatient Wound Care Services at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients with wound care needs. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing and administering professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit, ensuring that care is age-specific and aligns with the medical care provided. This role supports the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and adheres to the standards set forth by the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association, and other regulatory agencies. The Program Coordinator will also participate in patient education and discharge planning, contributing to the overall performance improvement initiatives within the unit. This includes evaluating the appropriateness of wound consult patients, coordinating care and patient education, and acting as a liaison between physicians and other healthcare team members. The coordinator will engage in house-wide skin and wound care programs, facilitating staff education and patient care initiatives, including Prevalence and Competency Days. The role requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of patients and staff, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Program Coordinator will oversee the overall functioning of the clinical areas, coordinating nursing care and wound care activities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.
