The Program Coordinator for the U Choose initiative at the Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED) plays a crucial role in the implementation and coordination of youth workforce development initiatives aimed at reducing teen pregnancy and improving adolescent sexual health in Baltimore City. This position is part of a collaborative effort involving the Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD), Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS), Healthy Teen Network (HTN), Planned Parenthood of Maryland (PPMD), and other partners within the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative Coalition. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for integrating the U Choose project curricula into various MOED programs, including YO! Baltimore, YO! Academy, and the Workforce Innovations Opportunity Act (WIOA)/Grads2Careers program. In this role, the Program Coordinator will engage with youth aged 18-24, developing and implementing activities that align with the goals and objectives of the Westside YO Center (WYOCC). The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with young adults, creativity in program delivery, and the ability to adapt programming to keep it relevant and engaging. The position requires strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to the mission of economic justice and equitable workforce development for all residents of Baltimore City. The Program Coordinator will oversee the planning and scheduling of U Choose workshops, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, documenting outcomes, and developing marketing materials to promote program activities. This role also involves acting as a liaison between MOED and BCHD, collaborating with other facilitators, and supervising youth facilitators who assist in program activities.
