About the position

The Program Coordinator for Youth at Brookview Elementary YMCA is responsible for managing and overseeing the After School and Out-of-School Time programming. This role focuses on creating a supportive environment for children, fostering relationships, and integrating the program into the school culture. The coordinator will supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring high-quality programming that meets YMCA standards and promotes community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned program areas and activities, ensuring compliance with YMCA standards.
• Evaluate and review all aspects of assigned programs for quality and safety.
• Facilitate and manage delivery of programming for at least 20 hours per week.
• Assist in developing and distributing marketing materials for programs.
• Prepare and submit budget management information for program areas.
• Monitor assigned budget to ensure consistency with approved plans.
• Determine staffing needs and manage staffing for assigned programs.
• Build and lead a staff team focused on community needs and member satisfaction.
• Develop collaborative relationships with school personnel.
• Represent the YMCA within and outside the organization.
• Assist in financial development efforts, including fundraising campaigns.
• Plan and organize special events as required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Degree in a related field, or 5 or more years of work-related experience.
• 1-2 years of program development and management experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Current Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications or equivalent prior to starting.
• Intro to Y's Cause & Culture Online Course to be completed prior to starting.
• Additional training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards.
