About the position

Rutgers The State University is seeking a Program Coordinator in the Behavioral Research and Training Institute - Children's System of Care Training and Technical Assistance within Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare. This position plays a crucial role in supervising and overseeing the Training Technical Assistance program, which is funded by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Children & Families. The Program Coordinator will take projects from their original concept through to final implementation, ensuring that all areas affected by the project, including stakeholders, staff, and the Children's System of Care (CSOC), are effectively engaged throughout the process. The Program Coordinator will provide effective leadership and support in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the CSOC Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) program. This includes acting responsibly and effectively in representing the Program Director and CSOC in all designated areas. The role requires the initiation of a consultation process, needs assessment, and systems analysis to identify goals and objectives for education, training, consultation, technical assistance, and program development in designated areas. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing information to the Program Director and CSOC representatives regarding areas of concern or need identified during consultations or contact with outside agencies. A key aspect of this position is the development and maintenance of positive collaborative working relationships with a variety of professionals and groups essential to achieving the goals of the project. The Program Coordinator will build mutual trust and encourage respect and cooperation among team members, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a mental health discipline.
  • Four (4) years postgraduate experience in a mental health setting.
