About the position

The Program Coordinator at Purdue University Northwest's College of Business plays a crucial role in supporting the Leadership Institute, White Lodging Professional Selling Lab, and Entrepreneurship Programs. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and growth of these programs through comprehensive support to faculty, event management, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility in work location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Leadership Institute, White Lodging Professional Selling Lab, and Entrepreneurship Programs.
  • Assist faculty with program development, curriculum planning, and execution of program activities.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and resources for workshops, seminars, and other events related to these programs.
  • Plan, organize, and execute events including workshops, networking events, guest lectures, and seminars.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements, catering, audiovisual needs, and attendee registration.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as industry professionals, alumni, and community leaders to foster partnerships and support for program initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities and sponsorships to support program activities.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement of the programs.
  • Work closely with technology liaisons to ensure effective use of digital tools and platforms for program promotion and management.
  • Maintain and update program websites, social media accounts, and digital calendars.
  • Track program metrics and outcomes to assess the effectiveness and impact of initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for program reviews, updates, and strategic planning.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from participants to continuously improve program offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in program coordination, event management, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and event management software.
  • Experience working in an academic or higher education environment.
