About the position

The Program Coordinator at Housing Works is responsible for overseeing all programmatic, clinical, and operational aspects of the Hull Street housing program. This role includes care coordination for residents, quality assurance tasks, direct service provision, and ensuring recreational activities are available. The Program Coordinator also ensures compliance with HUD and HASA supportive housing requirements for resident records.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all programmatic, clinical, and operational aspects of the Hull Street program.
  • Provide documented supervision and guidance to Housing Case Managers and Residential Aide Supervisor.
  • Ensure the Hull Program is contractually compliant and adheres to internal as well as HASA and HUD rules and regulations.
  • Represent the programs during inter-disciplinary meetings, treatment planning meetings, and dedicated events.
  • Monitor residents' viral suppression rates and make client-specific referrals as needed.
  • Facilitate monthly community meetings and ensure an active Resident Advisory Board.
  • Reconcile petty cash fund and client and staff MetroCard's.
  • Submit internal activity forms and update external portals for new client admissions, changes in income, and discharges.
  • Meet with residents on an as-needed basis and take the lead in crisis de-escalation.
  • Participate in the recruitment of qualified staff, including interviewing and making recommendations for hire.
  • Monitor and aid with the new-hire orientation processes to ensure consistency in training among all clinical providers.
  • Enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and/or House Rules.
  • Review monthly rent rolls and develop individual plans of action to address arrears.
  • Supervise the clinical and operations team to ensure coverage needs are met.
  • Enthusiastically take part in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field needed.
  • LMSW and/or CASAC strongly preferred.
