The Program Coordinator at RWJBarnabas Health will play a pivotal role in leading and managing performance improvement initiatives within the organization. This position is designed for a highly skilled individual who will facilitate and support cross-functional teams tasked with redesigning processes that are critical to enhancing access, patient throughput, quality of care, and overall satisfaction among providers and colleagues. The Program Coordinator will collaborate closely with physician, nursing, and administrative leaders to drive system-level improvements, from the development and design of processes to the implementation and monitoring of performance metrics. In this role, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Safety Advocate staff, which includes hiring, firing, and evaluating their performance. The individual will also develop the role of the safety advocate to encompass patient engagement support, in addition to supporting safety initiatives and the development of safety coaches. The Program Coordinator will actively participate in the Safety Together initiative, which involves preparing scripts for rounding to influence, participating in daily safety huddles, and assisting with safety training for new employees. Furthermore, the coordinator will chair the local Safety Implementation Team and coordinate spirit events, among other duties. The Program Coordinator will collect and analyze data relevant to the safety coach program, preparing reports for various levels of the organization. This data-driven approach will be essential for driving performance improvement within the safety coach program. Additionally, the coordinator will manage patient engagement data, including HCAPHS reporting and patient relations complaints, ensuring that complaint and grievance management practices meet regulatory requirements. This position is integral to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within RWJBarnabas Health, ultimately contributing to the organization's mission of providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
