About the position

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the scheduling of surgeries within the clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and coordination among various departments. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, producing daily progress reports, and leading the workforce to achieve departmental goals while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgeries for the clinic.
  • Oversee programs and activities within the department to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate with different departments to gather and analyze data.
  • Produce daily progress reports and documentation.
  • Lead and encourage the workforce to reach departmental goals.
  • Implement company policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of five years' work experience as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Critical Care, Cardiac, and/or Surgery.
  • Experience in Performance Improvement (PI) programs and processes.
  • Ability to utilize data for program analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to collaboratively work with all disciplines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) strongly encouraged.
