The Program Coordinator at the University of Texas at El Paso plays a crucial role in supporting program-related objectives and initiatives under limited supervision. This position requires moderate latitude for independent judgment and involves coordinating various administrative procedures related to information processing, record maintenance, and funding compliance. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager to compile, verify, and prepare necessary materials and information to ensure compliance with required reports, surveys, and analyses. In addition to administrative tasks, the Program Coordinator will assist the Faculty Development and Evaluation Cores by scheduling networking meetings, workshops, and other activities. This role also involves planning and coordinating special events such as workshops, seminars, and training sessions on behalf of the grant, while providing support to the current program manager with additional tasks as needed. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Evaluation Core to ensure that evaluation findings are effectively disseminated and integrated into the daily activities of faculty members. The position requires the Program Coordinator to provide support to the FIRST faculty cohort in completing required research compliance training and protocol development. Responsibilities also include ordering supplies and equipment, coordinating assigned activities and resources, and working with others to analyze areas, satisfy planning needs, and document program effectiveness and compliance with guidelines. The Program Coordinator will advocate for the program to obtain support both within the department and in the community, designing systems to address specific program goals. Additionally, the role may involve reviewing and analyzing practices and procedures, making recommendations to ensure established standards are met, and evaluating the effectiveness of support functions to recommend changes.
