About the position

The Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst position at Northrop Grumman involves setting up and managing cost control systems, monitoring contract costs and schedules, and performing financial analyses to ensure compliance with negotiated parameters. This role is crucial for supporting the Launch Missile Defense System and requires a detail-oriented individual who can work in a dynamic environment focused on space technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up cost control systems and monitoring costs and schedules on contracts.
  • Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters.
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and assisting in financial analyses.
  • Monitoring funding availability and maintaining accurate records of expenditures.
  • Incorporating program scope changes into control systems to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly reporting and quarterly EACs.
  • Assessing and improving financial reporting processes for enhanced efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years professional work experience or Master's Degree and 0+ years professional work experience for Level 2.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years professional work experience or Master's Degree and 3+ years professional work experience for Level 3.
  • Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel.
  • Financial or accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) for Level 3.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Oracle Primavera.
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
  • Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Earned Value Management Experience (EVMS).
