About the position

The Program Development Coordinator (PDC) plays a crucial role in CNFA's New Business Development Team, focusing on the development of winning proposals to support the organization's strategic growth. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including research, proposal preparation, and coordination of the proposal process, ensuring that deadlines are met and that proposals are compliant with donor requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and track business development opportunities from various US government and donor websites.
  • Conduct desk research for proposal teams and summarize findings.
  • Review solicitation documents and create compliance matrices, calendars, and partnership packets.
  • Organize proposal planning meetings with staff and partners.
  • Develop CNFA program capability statements for marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Write sections of proposals under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Support proposal-related recruitment tasks for non-key personnel.
  • Coordinate the proposal process from solicitation release to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain records of proposal development processes for efficient collaboration and knowledge management.
  • Format technical proposals and support the formatting of cost proposals as needed.
  • Carry out administrative tasks such as developing and tracking consulting agreements and processing invoices.
  • Support post-submission activities, including debriefings and revisions based on donor feedback.
  • Travel to the field to assist with proposal preparation as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in proposal preparation, program development, or a related profession preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant international development experience is highly desirable.
  • Professional proficiency in French, Arabic, or Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Suite, specifically MS Word formatting and styling required.
  • Ability and availability to travel internationally desirable.
  • Current US work authorization is required.

  • Experience in international development organizations.
  • Familiarity with USAID Cooperative Development Country Strategies.
