About the position

The Program Director for Behavioral Health at Evara Health is responsible for overseeing the academic operations and instructional delivery of educational programs related to behavioral health. This role serves as a bridge between the healthcare industry and academic programs, ensuring program quality, compliance, and effectiveness. The Program Director manages faculty, develops curriculum, and establishes partnerships to enhance student learning and job placement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure academic programs and courses align with educational standards and industry requirements.
  • Develop and improve instructional materials, including course content and assessments.
  • Manage program resources, including faculty assignments and scheduling.
  • Oversee instructional delivery and implement best practices through monitoring and faculty training.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new faculty members in collaboration with the Director of Education.
  • Monitor student access to academic advising and tutoring services.
  • Ensure students earn relevant industry certifications.
  • Ensure faculty compliance with academic policies related to grading and attendance.
  • Support the implementation of key education priorities and strategic plans.
  • Establish partnerships with advisory board members and industry organizations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and respond to stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations.
  • Participate in program retention and placement committees.
  • Evaluate and approve clinical externship sites for students.
  • Conduct monthly program faculty meetings and participate in campus leadership meetings.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of occupational experience in behavioral health services.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a behavioral health or closely related field.
  • Active, unrestricted BCBA certification/licensure preferred.
  • Adult training or post-secondary teaching experience required.
  • Leadership or supervision experience preferred.
  • Faculty management experience preferred.
  • Distance education instruction or program management experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Curriculum development experience preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for establishing community partnerships preferred.
