About the position
The Program Director, Energy Transitions at truCurrent will lead the execution of clean energy and fleet electrification projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of customer programs. This role requires a candidate with extensive experience in managing corporate-level program milestones for commercial and industrial energy transition solutions, overseeing multiple technologies such as solar PV, battery energy storage, and electric vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage comprehensive decarbonization programs across the United States from inception to completion.
- Engage with truCurrent customers to understand their business objectives and decarbonization goals.
- Maintain ownership of truCurrent's energy transition plan, identifying key milestones and risks.
- Develop and manage effective processes to meet customer needs and truCurrent business objectives.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to truCurrent and external audiences.
- Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Finance, and Policy teams to ensure program feasibility and success.
- Forge strong partnerships with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; master's degree and PMP certification preferred.
- 10+ years of program and project management experience, preferably in C&I solar, microgrids, or fleet electrification.
- Prior experience managing the deployment of distributed energy resources (DERs) for large enterprises.
- Expertise in Microsoft Project or other program management tools.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple programs concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
