About the position

The Program Director for Graduate Medical Education (GME) at Health First is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the GME program, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and ACGME requirements. This role includes program administration, resident recruitment, evaluation, and education, while fostering an environment conducive to learning and professional growth for residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Health First's institutional policies and ACGME Program Requirements.
  • Participate actively in the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and related subcommittees.
  • Oversee the educational program activities across all participating sites.
  • Select and supervise faculty and program personnel at each site.
  • Ensure residents/fellows adhere to established educational and clinical practices.
  • Respond to ACGME Review Committee requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Prepare documentation for Internal Review and ACGME Self-Study materials.
  • Develop and assess educational curriculum and measures for residents/fellows' competence.
  • Facilitate residents/fellows' participation in educational activities and committees.
  • Manage clinical scheduling of residents/fellows.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in academic healthcare.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
  • Current certification in the specialty for which they are program director.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ACGME standards and successful accreditation outcomes.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior direct experience as Core Faculty or Assistant Program Director for an ACGME Accredited training program.
  • Familiarity with MedHub Residency Management System.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and servant leader orientation.
