About the position

The Program Director for Markus Gardens SPSRO/YAA is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the residence, ensuring the delivery of program services, compliance with regulations, and the management of staff and client services. This role involves recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff, as well as coordinating health and safety programs for clients and staff. The Program Director also engages in community resource development and maintains relationships with vendors and service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of program services according to agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable city, state, and federal regulations.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise all program staff.
  • Develop and oversee staff training and scheduling.
  • Manage the admission and discharge processes for clients.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety and health programs to clients and staff.
  • Review and oversee standardized health screening tools.
  • Promote peer-to-peer services and evidence-based practices.
  • Supervise case managers in service/support planning and provider contacts.
  • Review charting for compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Facilitate weekly clinical meetings.
  • Establish and maintain contact with vendors servicing building equipment.
  • Coordinate client committee activities and develop community resources.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports.
  • Monitor rent arrears and develop collections strategies.
  • Perform inspections of all units and oversee building upkeep.
  • Review employee timesheets and monitor hours and vacation.
  • Serve as a member of the Case Record Review Committee.
  • Act as a Qualified Mental Health Staff Person.
  • Recommend measures to improve program service quality.
  • Be on-call for emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology or a related field, or Bachelor's degree with significant experience in the field.
  • Significant experience in mental health residential settings.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practices in rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Supervisory experience, with a preference for a Master's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in case management.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health practices.
