About the position

Michigan State University, in collaboration with UP Health System, is seeking a Family Medicine Residency Director to lead a well-established, unopposed Family Medicine residency program. This community-based, three-year training program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and has osteopathic recognition, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the American Board of Family Medicine. The program is designed to provide comprehensive training in family medicine, preparing residents for a successful career in various healthcare settings. As the Program Director, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of board-certified providers and faculty members. The position emphasizes a hands-on approach to teaching, fostering a collegial and supportive academic and practice environment. You will be responsible for supervising residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with the option to include obstetrics (OB) in your practice, although it is not a requirement. The role also involves utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) systems to enhance patient care and streamline operations.
