About the position

The Program Director at Bridge Lacrosse is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sports-based youth development programming in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing organizational and logistical direction to year-round programs serving over 800 youth, ensuring high-quality program delivery, and fostering relationships with community partners. The Program Director will work closely with the Senior Program Director and other stakeholders to support the mission of using lacrosse as a tool for youth development and equitable opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily activities and operations of programming under the direction of the Senior Program Director and Bridge strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with community partners and supporters to provide high-quality program support.
  • Serve as the point of contact for parents, youth, volunteers, and partners.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of programs, including scheduling practices, games, and tournaments.
  • Manage equipment and uniform inventory, ordering, and storage.
  • Coordinate recruitment and retention of players into the program.
  • Ensure effective delivery of programming at the highest level of quality and impact.
  • Develop and manage college access programming in collaboration with the Senior Program Director.
  • Research and understand community needs in college preparation.
  • Oversee volunteer and intern training and maintenance.
  • Organize coaches and intern training.
  • Foster a culture of family and impact within volunteers.
  • Oversee performance and development of coaches and interns, providing feedback and accountability.
  • Serve as an instructor and role model during camps, demonstrations, clinics, and events.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Senior Program Director, and Board of Directors to support organizational goals.
  • Support development and fundraising events as needed.
  • Assist with marketing and social media efforts as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of success within a school, direct-service nonprofit, or educational institution preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, youth-centric organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative to address questions and challenges.
  • Passion and commitment to improving opportunities for urban communities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and individuals simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with large groups of children and/or adults.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle required.
  • Computer knowledge and competency in Smartsheet, Canva, Adobe CC, and Google Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lacrosse coaching background preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in education, childhood development, nonprofit management, or sport management preferred.
  • Language skills such as Spanish a plus.
  • Experience working with urban youth and/or knowledge of Dallas' communities and school system a plus.
